Westfield on Weekends is excited to present our second annual Great Dogs & Cool Cats of Summer event. We are still working on all the details to make this event even better than last year, so check back often!
Artist/Co-curator James Johnson-Corwin will be illustrating a series of Westfield cats that are inspired by T.S. Eliot’s famous poem but have a Westfield reference – Old Westfield’s Book of Mysterious Cats (and Dogs).
This summer WOW is also celebrating T.S. Eliot’s classic poem, Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats, upon which the hit musical CATS is based. The poem explains how cats - and for our purposes, dogs too - must have three names:
We ask that you give us BOTH your dog or cat’s everyday name and special name. A chance to be creative. Ask your whole family to help.
Winners will be chosen for Dogs and Cats in the following categories:
The winner will receive an illustration of their pet by house artist, James Johnson-Corwin!
Families may submit one photo of each of their dogs and cats, currently in their family and/or a photo of a beloved pet, who has crossed the rainbow bridge.
We ask that the photos feature the animal(s) and not their owners and include a submission form that is available here. The submission deadline is Monday, August 15th and photos will not be accepted without this form that will provide WOW permission to display the photograph(s) and information that may accompany the displayed photograph.
The earlier we receive your submission the more chances your pet can receive votes.
